Broadcast Radio

Broadcast radio students gain practical experience recording in the field and in the studio under the guidance of College of Communications faculty.

ComRadio is the official radio station of the College of Communications. More than 200 students, specializing in news, sports, production, marketing/promotion and sales, staff the Internet-based station. These students produce half-hour newscasts from 6 - 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, provide play-by-play of many Penn State sporting events and are responsible for creating and airing talk shows each week. When student-produced programming isn't available, ComRadio plays a mix of Adult Contemporary and Lite Jazz music.
